Barb works at the Elkader Day Center one day per week. Barb is known for her compassion towards people and her motivation. Barb’s tasks include washing wheelchairs, walkers, laundry baskets, tv trays/bedside tables, and the family room, she also dusts doorknobs and railings. Region 2 Director Stacey Niesman said, “She’s always thinking of everybody. She thinks about how much she enjoys working with her coworkers and misses them when they’re gone. She is always looks for more hours to work. She also loves to talk about recipes and gardening”
